Terms & Conditions

Lodge & Learn Programs | Training, Workshops & Private Lessons 

1. Booking / Enrolment
 
Lodge & Learn:
  • All bookings and payments are made through the booking platform.
  • If alternative payment options are required, please contact Taaffeite K9 Training directly.
Training / Workshops / Private Lessons:
  • Complete registration and full payment before attending.
  • Confirmation will be sent via email.
2. Cancellation & Refunds
 
Lodge & Learn:
  • More than 14 days before start: full refund
  • 7–14 days: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days: no refund
  • Emergencies or unforeseen circumstances may be considered individually.
  • Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Training / Workshops / Private Lessons:
  • Fees are non-refundable unless Taaffeite K9 Training cancels the class.
  • Emergencies may be considered individually.
  • Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
3. Changes & Rescheduling
 
Lodge & Learn Programs
  • Clients may request changes to dates or extensions through the booking platform or by contacting Taaffeite K9 Training directly.
  • Changes within 14 days of the program may incur additional fees, depending on availability.
  • Prepaid fees may be applied to a new booking if agreed, but are not automatically refunded. Refunds only occur if the program is cancelled by Taaffeite K9 Training.
Training, Workshops & Private Lessons
  • Classes may be rescheduled at the discretion of Taaffeite K9 Training. Notice will be provided wherever possible.
  • Prepaid fees may be applied to alternative sessions agreed with us. Refunds only issued if the class is cancelled by Taaffeite K9 Training.
  • Make-up classes may be offered but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Drop-off & Pick-up (Lodge & Learn)
  • Drop-off and pick-up times are pre-agreed between the client and Taaffeite K9 Training.
  • Clients must adhere to their agreed times.
  • If a client is more than 15 minutes late for drop-off or pick-up without prior notice, an additional day fee may apply.
  • Taaffeite K9 Training is not responsible for dogs left unattended outside the agreed times.
5. Health & Safety
  • All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations (Hepatitis, Distemper, Bordetella).
  • Dogs must be free from fleas, ticks, and worms. Any illness must be reported before arrival.
  • Participants must disclose any behavioural or health concerns.
  • Dogs must be under control at all times.
  • Taaffeite K9 Training may refuse participation if a dog presents a health risk or aggression.
6. Liability & Consumer Rights
  • Clients/participants sign a liability waiver before participation.
  • Liability for injury, illness, or damage is limited to the extent permitted by law.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Behaviour & Participation
  • Disclose any behavioural issues before arrival or class.
  • Follow agreed training plans and instructions.
  • Respect instructors, staff, and fellow participants.
  • Aggressive or disruptive behaviour may lead to dismissal without refund.
8. Property & Equipment
  • Taaffeite K9 Training is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
  • Avoid bringing valuables or items that cannot be easily replaced.
9. Media & Marketing
  • Photos or videos may be taken during sessions for marketing.
  • You may opt out in writing before the start of the program.
10. Modifications
  • Taaffeite K9 Training may revise these Terms & Conditions.
  • Changes apply prospectively; existing bookings are not affected.
11. Governing Law
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
12. Agreement
  • Lodge & Learn: Booking and payment via the platform (or alternative arrangements confirmed directly) constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
  • Training / Workshops / Private Lessons: Registration and payment constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
